Just Music. The Toronto Symphony Orchestra performs "Venus, The Bringer of Peace" (in 2 parts) from "The Planets" by Gustav Holst, under the direction of Sir Ernest MacMillan, in these recordings from 1942, which were taken off of 78 RPM records.
Many thanks for bringing this gorgeous performance to YouTube; Sir Ernest MacMillan was a truly great conductor, almost completely forgotten today. He recorded a stellar Handel MESSIAH with Lois Marshall and a young Jon Vickers among the soloists.
According to Live And Be Well book, this was one of the music that was found most effective in slowing an anxious heart (the musical score approximates the rhythm of the resting heart which is seventy beats per min)

I played this at the memorial service for my mother. We listened to this piece a lot when I was a child.
