  • This man is a HERO. He has spoken the words, taken the actions, that NO politician has had the balls or common sense (or desire) to do. America has suffered for it. Grayson for President and maybe even Canonization. I hope his logic delivers the final death blow to the Republican Party for the future of this country. Americans, follow his lead, unteeth each republican one by one by one until they are no more. Only then can the nation heal.

  • That and the fact that child abuse deaths skyrocket under republican administrations, education suffers, there are always deficits left behind and then republicans sit around and bitch how bad everything is. Republicans are complete losers and this nation will never move forward until they are eliminated. Unelecting them is not good enough as Cheney has displayed. He needs to go to jail. That will only begin to silence these obnoxious little terrorists who obviously hate the USA.

  • @nosferotica1 I'm in the UK, I don't get it either.

    Everybody wants sensible free & open healthcare where they have it.

    Private insurance systems siphon off profits, perks & bonuses for the rich.

    People pay tax to help everybody in our community, health is part of that, also fire, police, army etc.

    Not to be spent on bonuses for billionaires or insurance corp hype.

    Most ppl even like NASA & look forward to balance again.

    Yet.. it was like some KKK got spell checkers & scared Obama.

    V. Sad IMO.

  • I am a Canadian, learning about this man for the first time. He was voted out of office? Who was chosen in his place? This seems like a tragedy. Voters should have turned out for him. His "The war is making you poor" act was pure genius. A genuine shame that a brave, caring person can't find a seat in political office.

  • @brn2bwild2001 here's the thing.....what would you have done if you didn't have that 12k a year? i'm sure "pull yourself up by your bootstraps and find the money" might have rung a little hollow in your ears standing over your wife's grave....

  • The thing is, I wouldn't mind. Another thing is, it wouldn't be me specifically, it would be your neighbors and everyone else.

    That's what I don't understand. Law Enforcement, that's ok. Libraries, that's ok too.

    Fire Departments, yeah that's fine.

    Health Care, GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THAT TALK!

    Yeah, the Government can't fix every injustice. But as I said in another thread on another vid somewhere, I haven't heard of 45000 people dying a year waiting for their free health care.

  • If it were a matter of simply saving lives we could enact a law tonight that would save over 40K lives/yr. starting immediately. There are trade offs, do we protect everyone from themselves from cradle to grave, or do we make people responsible for their circumstances. Sometimes the government can't fix every injustice, nor should it. My wife was very healthy until she came down with an auto-immune disease. She has to get high risk insurance ($12,000/yr.). I don't expect you to pay for it.

  • Isn't the conservative platform suppose to be morality? So let's check this train of thought.

    Taxes = paid without consent.

    Taxes = stealing

    Stealing = immoral.

    Stealing to pay for health care = immoral

    45,000 a year dying from lack of health care = justified.

    We can't even agree on a "lesser of two evils."

    You know, the Founding Fathers only said "taxation without representation" is tyranny, not taxing at all.

    You do know what they mean by representation, right?

  • Yeah, because the Health Ins. Co. who make billions of dollars being the only game in town that lobby congress and fund campaigns totally want that to happen.

    Wake up, if prices go up because of the "government being in the free market" there's probably a lobbyist in DC getting a promotion for making it happen.

  • You know where it comes from (where the Canadian Government gets the money for universal health care.)

    How does that amount to Government Control? Where is the Glory in paying thousands of dollars for getting sick?

    Can you answer that without throwing around "socialist" or "liberal" as though you're accomplishing more than just raising your blood pressure and looking ignorant?

  • Harvard study.

    But who the fuck is Harvard?

  • Callo,

    "Mr. Grayson, what do you say about your own party not being able to pass anything yet"??

    Grayson..."Whaaaaa, whaaaa... MOMMY PELOSI... they're picking on me again!"

    Mr. Grayson.."why are you going to cut benefits to seniors?"

    Grayson.."Whaaaa, whaaa... MOMMY PELOSI.. they're asking me questions again!!!"

    "Mr Grayson, why won't you answer ANY questions?"

    Grayson.. "WHAAAA, WHAAAA.. I'm telling MOMMY PELOSI on you for making me cry!!!!"
