Does Discrimination Cause the Gap in White and Black Incomes?

Maybe. But equal opportunities do NOT promise equal outcomes. In income differences between women and men, the difference was for many years ASSUMED to be discrimination. Research is now showing this to be false. Is it possible that the differences between income in white and black populations is also a result of other factors not related to discrimination or a lack of opportunity?
