Post-Lou Barlow Dinosaur Jr perform the hit single The Wagon from their fourth album Green Mind on Late Night with David Letterman. A great performance, my favorite part is where the extra guitarist tries to show off and J Mascis totally owns him during his solo. Dinosaur Jr and J Mascis are just so amazing. Enjoy!

  • @southrules Or you can just, you know, enjoy the video and not be a dick about it. It's an older video I found, no idea on the date.

  • I remember seeing them do 'Outta There' on Letterman when 'where you been' came out. They had enormous silver chimes onstage that Paul Schaffer was playing. Anybody remember this? Doesn't seem to be on YouTube

  • @sixlanesofsteel Unfortunately it's a victim of time. I don't think anybody taped it. Audio exists, but no video.

  • I like how when J is soloing, Mike's just like "Oh shit... you shouldn't have fucked with J, man."

  • @wungabunga Don't be : ( man. Just crank it and forget your age. That's bullshit. When i'm 80 I'll be blasting this in my old age home, because it ROCKS. Jay has gray hair now, so what ? Does that diminish it somehow, I don't think so. Have you heard Farm ?? I waited with such anticipation for it and was not disappointed, Jay still stamds in front of his wall of Marshalls and makes your ears bleed in such a pleasant way. Long live Dino Jr. !! Long live Jay Mascis !!

  • @sixlanesofsteel I used to watch that all the time. one of my favorite of all time. All those artificial harmonics. I had that on tape but don't know what happened to that tape.

  • I've always had time for the ultra cool stage presence of Mike Johnson

  • First time I got to see the man work on tv and it sent me into a playing ferver, I can tell you that...

  • J commits manslaughter at 1:43, that house guitarist didn't even see it coming.

  • @Grungie You tell em Grungie!

  • @BIuejay

  • @southrules Shut up, cunt.

  • @TheErikDane Exactly. So it's sometime in '91

  • 240p we meet again.
