This is an interview I made with my German teacher, to show how the German accent sounds like.

  • @yellowmustang71 Because their language doesn't have a melody at all.. the sounds are dry and hard.. just like when you are arguiung in any language but germans do it normally.:)

  • @Mkeffer13 it is HIS opinion and based on the people HE knows, as he said on the interview if you noticed ;)

  • @Monovoxx well, i'm german and it's not true that we don't have any melody at all. for sure germans have a melody, but all non-german speakers are not able to hear the melody. if italians speak fast it sounds like arguing to me too. the same with russian and all the other east-european languages. you just don't know the language and it sounds weird to you.

  • This is very interesting to watch

  • @guns1312 LOL

  • my friend keeps making an indian accent when he tries to make a german one

  • haha, ok, well, I speak american english.

I was born and raised in Germany, but I lost a lot of my mother tongue (still live here)

But I don't think the same, about english\american ppl (:

    But that's a personal thing.

I, for myself, I hate the german accent.

I just think, it doesn't sound good at all (:

Not talkin bout german accent, while talking german.

    Ya know what i mean?

  • I'm an American needing a German accent for a play. This helped, thank you!

  • This was very helpful. Thanks.

  • Er klingt wie Oettinger...

  • @yellowmustang71 when we talk fast and you understand no german it sure sounds like arguing to you. but if you understand german you'll hear the 'melody'. if you don't understand russian it sounds like arguing to you if they talk fast. it's just that thing that germany is a country quite 'famous' and you often hear german all over the worl that the people don't have the possibilities to compare. ;)

  • eindeutig ein schwabe
