I can see your reasoning and respect you for it, however I don't agree with you on some points you've made. I don't think Christianity itself is a double standard, although some people do make it seem that way. And saying there isn't any evidence isn't true. The Bible not only describes God, but is also in accordance with many historical events. You like to prove things in order for you to believe them, while faith is believing even though the proof might not be right in front of your eyes.
