ABOUT OUR PASTORS

Pastor Andraé Crouch
Assistant Pastor, Sandra Crouch

We Believe in the triune God
We believe that there is only one God who is creator of all things in heaven and in earth. This one God consists of three equal members constituting one divine essence. This triune God, therefore, is not an indistinguishable solitary oneness. This God in human history has chosen to reveal himself in three diverse ways as the Father (Old Testament), As the Son (Jesus Christ, John 1:1) and As the Holy Spirit (John 16:13; Acts 1:8, and 8:39).

God, the Father:
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth and the author of all things. He revealed himself in the Old Testament in diverse manners, manifesting his nature, character, and dominions. He is the first person of the Trinity
God, the Son:
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of Almighty God and is our Lord and Savior. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, was buried, rose again and ascended into heaven and will return again for the collection of redeemed and judgment of the unrighteous. We believe that this same Jesus is the second person of the trinity, and was both human and divine being co-equal and co-eternal with Almighty God. We believe that Jesus Christ became the "suffering servant" to humanity; this suffering servant came seeking to redeem humanity, reconciling them back to God the creator. (Romans 5:10)

God, the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost:
We believe that the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost precedes from the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ. It is the third person of the Trinity and is of the same substance, equal in power and glory with God the Father, and God the Son. We believe that the Holy Spirit/Ghost is given to believers as a comfort and also to equip and empower believers to be more effective witness for service in the world. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is an experience subsequent to conversion and sanctification and tongue-speaking is the consequence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the inspiration of the Bible, the written Word of God
We believe in the full inspiration of the Word of God. We hold the Word of God to be the only authority in all matters and assert that no doctrine can be true or essential, if it does not find a place in this word. We believe that the scriptures are useful for correction, and training in righteousness so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient and equipped for service. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe in Christ's Redemptive work on the cross-Salvation
We believe that the God who created heaven and earth created humanity in His image. Humanity in this state was without sin for the passions of our flesh was properly in submission to our higher spiritual faculties. These spiritual faculties provided Spiritual restraints thus making obedience and communing with God most natural. Although our natural desire was to please God, we still had a propensity for sin, meaning we were still capable of going against what was most natural to us. Sin was possible but not a reality. It wasn't until our first parents, Adam and Eve willfully submitted to the desires of their fleshly appetites that these spiritual restraints were lost and sin became a reality, the unnatural became natural. Adam and Eve's sin, eating the forbidden fruit, corrupted all humanity. As a result humanity by nature became sinful, unholy, and disobedient and separated from God. (Ezekiel 28:11; Isaiah 14:12-20). Therefore, all of humanity is in desperate need of reconciliation with our creator and original nature. This is called "Original Sin" It is only through Jesus Christ that we are reconciled with our creator. (John 3:7) It is through repentance of our sin, accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior and realizing that it was through his death and resurrection that we become reconciled to God. (Romans 5:11). It is through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that salvation was made available for all humanity.
