Eastern Bluebirds Is She Incubating? April 4-5, 2009

On April 4, the female laid her 4th eggs. After each egg, she has been coming in and out of the nest box but only stayed a few minutes each time. After she laid the 4th egg, she came and sat on the eggs much more frequently, at times 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off the nest. I checked at 7:30pm that night and she was on the nest. Again, at 3am she was on the nest so it appeared to me that she had started incubating.
