In intial reports, the number of civilians killed were 23, but later the invistagation say there were 47 victims:
Times Online reports:
An Afghan government investigation has concluded that 45 women and children and two men were killed when a US aircraft bombed a wedding party in eastern Afghanistan last Sunday, .
The nine-man investigation team appointed by the Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, found that only civilians were hit during the airstrike.
Burhanullah Shinwari, the leader of the investigation team and the deputy speaker of Afghanistan's Upper House, said: "We found that 47 civilians, mostly women and children, were killed in the airstrikes and another nine were wounded."
The claims of civilian casualties were initially strongly rebutted by the US military. A US military statement released last Sunday claimed: "intelligence revealed a large group of militants operating in Deh Bala district. Coalition forces identified the militants in a mountainous region and used precision air strikes to kill them."

@veritbo I'm Australian...and in a way I do blame the U.S government for our involvement in this war.We are their allies...and pressured to send troops. The day our (now ex) Prime Minister announced we would be sending troops to support the U.S in Iraq...I cried...I knew it would be a racist war with no end in sight...and I was right. Our troops pulled out of Iraq a lot earlier than others due to pressure from the Australian People, and the same is happening now with Afghanistan.

@veritbo they aren't my troops ffs..I'm not a world leader.I've protested the war since it began...I've never supported it! And - I don't believe for a second that EVERY soldier makes an informed choice...many are young and naive when they sign up,& many sign up for the wrong reasons...these same soldiers come back shell shocked and their lives never return to normality...I do have sympathy for them...but I also have sympathy for the innocent Afghan civilians...victims of racism...

@29Gixxer How can their be quiet support when all avenues of Muslim media and scholarship condemn it?
The fact that you are ignorant to it, and the fact that you can't speak or understand other languages, doesn't mean it's not happening.

@29Gixxer Not very many Muslims have sought to attack the UK because in fact it is against their religion to do so. Remember, you are dealing with radicals of a faith, not the followers of the faith.
I highly suggest that you educate yourself on the topic first before speaking on it.
