If God created the laws which govern our world, such as evolution, then proving evolution doesn't disprove God (or else that would be a logical fallacy)

Personally, I DON'T believe God created the laws, but it still is a stance creationists can say

this would be unwise because they have to agree with the evidence we have for evolution. This includes fossils, which date back FURTHER than they say the Earth was made. Unless of course, they cherry pick and say OH, ONLY so and so fossils...or whatnot :-)
