US Airways Flight 1549 was en route to Charlotte, North Carolina from LaGuardia with 150 passengers and five crew (two pilots and three flight attendants) on board.
It went down in the Hudson River on Thursday after taking off from LaGuardia Airport at 3:26PM EST (2026 GMT) time, and everyone aboard was able to off the plane and alive after landing on water.
It all happened after a bird or flock of birds is sucked into the jet during takeoff, then pilot declared emergency and wanted to go back to Laguardia airport but couldn't make it since both engine failed. Salud to US Airways 1549 pilots Sully & Jeff!!!

  • @Vorox144 lol

  • DAMN TALIBAN BIRDS SUICIDE ATTACK AMERICAN PLANEs

  • @kzdavis1000 they were saying "atleast we got rid of those damn jews"

  • @mmcclain88 physically impossible to build engines impervious to birds. Jet aircraft traveling at 260-300 mph at and after takeoff, several 4 pounds birds injested into the engines. Weve been devising systems to scare away birds from airports alot recently. Engine building has been more bird resistant but there is really no material that you can build engiens out of and still be impervious to bird strikes.

  • In my opinion that captain is the best damn pilot ever.

  • shouldn't airplane engines be able to handle birds. i don't know if you realize this but birds fly. i would think that would be one of the first things that engineers would think of when designing an airplane engine. but what do i know. i guess the chances that airplane and birds are both in the sky at the same time are pretty low.

  • 3:21 BONGEYE!!! that pilot is a legend.. mass respect!

  • This was the result of 40 years of aviation experience from the pilot.

    Not a miracle.

Where are the religious zealots when the plane crashed in Russia killing the president of Poland, his wife, and many other top Poland officials?

  • @snozdog

It is clear he does not work on the A320 because anybody involved with both the 737 and A320 will know they are very different aircraft.
