It is very sad that the "beacon of democracy" overthrew a democratically elected government because it needed to do UFCO's bidding. The land had been given freely by the Guatemalan government to be worked. The land that was not producing was the land that was to be bought back by the government at the value that UFCO had declared it had when paying for property taxes.
