I never had any music training so I really can't tell you what key either are in
I know how to play the album version because I have the piano book for it
but it definitely is in a different key and...it kinda loses something live I think
sad...coz I really would love to hear it live
I heard her say before she played it that she hadn't done it since she recorded it
so maybe the song just happened
her best stuff seems to be that way sometimes (not the red baron, thoughts etc)

I noticed it sounded different, but I don't have perfect pitch, and haven't tried to play along with either version. What was the key signature on the studio, and what is it in the live version? I've found that many singers, especially as they get a little older, like to bring live versions of certain songs down a full step or two because they have a hard time hitting some higher notes in the original recording. Or perhaps a key change just gave the song a different feel that she was going for?

Wow! I love that hat and I love this song even more! It's the most piano dominant song on AATS and I really wanted to hear it with just piano. Beautiful! Thank you for posting this!
