Patrick Steward (Cap. Picard of the USS Enterprise) has 1.5 minutes of footage as a "guide" for the now-retro Compton's Interactive Encyclopedia for Sega CD, 3DO, CD-i, Windows 3.1 and Mac System 7.x from 1994. These were extracted from the Windows 3.1 CD-ROM version. Which, if you happen to obtain a copy of this Clinton-era software, runs just fine in Windows XP if you just put the option in the properties to display under Windows 95 and at 256 colors. Patrick is also a very nice person, as I know many people who've met him and I've seen him in action at Westwood Studios, as well as James Earl Jones, doing video game footage and narration.

  • Ha He is wearing RED!

  • I loved this encyclopedia, I read every article! =p

  • I bought this CD-ROM at a bargain bin at some retailer convention thing. Quite fun.

  • Oh shit, I remember Compton's. It came with the first desktop computer my family ever got. When I clicked on the tour button and that little video window came up with Patrick Stewart in it talking about the Encyclopedia, I was like, "WOAH!!!" Good times, good times.
