I think everywhere in the US needs to fix mass transit. Even New York.

I used to work in Monorail operations at WDW. I would love to see more monorails. They are so much more beautiful than the alternative mass transit systems and brining a station anywhere in the urban environment will be a catalyst for amazing development. Too bad this mentality of requiring demand BEFORE building a project is the political ideology that many have. Transportation is the exact opposite. People appreciate it once they see how good it is.

@1goldstar100 ALWEG monorail company offered to build Los Angeles a monorail system for FREE in 1963 and LA said "No thanks, we prefer diesel spewing buses on overcrowded streets."

@melbourneopera The difference between a maglev and a traditional monorail is that a traditional monorail still uses wheels and tires to guide and move the train, where as a maglev uses a magnetic levitation system and a linear induction motor system to move and guide the train.

I hate the FACT that those systems like monorails and electric cars are being slowed down by the oil industries..
these Monorail are all built by Bombardier and Shinkansen right?

The Disney World and Las Vegas trains are Bombardier, most of the other monorails shown were made by Hitachi. Not sure about the Australian and New Jersey systems.

Most monorails, including all the examples shown in the video, roll on tires. You should check out the Technical page at the monorail society web site. ( Link is in the video description )

Amazing, where did you find footage of the old Mark IV's in vegas?

Most of the footage was provided by the Monorail Society to the SMP. But sense I wasn't involved with the production of this video, I can't say for sure.
