So much meaning in 4 words. "Life is short, but to learn a profession (an art) takes a long time."

Here's the original Greek saying Ὁ βίος βραχύς, ἡ δὲ τέχνη μακρή

  • Sorry to correct and be a downer, but it is being pronounced wrong. The saying is latin, and it means more along the lines that there is so much to learn, and so little time to learn it. And it is actually pronounced "Ars longa, wita brewis"

In latin, V's make the sound of W's.

  • No, its OK to critique, thats what the comment section is for, after all. Shame I couldn't have found any Latin speakers before I sang it. There was no one to ask.

  • Good job, Drew. Singing in the automobile workes too.

  • You can't do canons in the car. Not unless you clone me.

  • this short quote has inside a rithmic expression of the mistery of time: ARS (1) + LON-GA (2) makes 3 ( all spiritual being) VITA (2) + BREVIS (2) makes 4 (every "material" expression).

3+4 makes 7 (that is evolution or "time" or "kairos"( opportunity) in ancient greek.

You have made us ear a jewel , very simple and very enlightning among those of LvB . thanks

  • Regret that shoulder-arm pain limits time online.

Good job, as always, even in disagreement.
