@djwithjc3 No, it is not about addiction. I wrote the song. It was a very dark time in my life and my relationship with Michael Hutchence of INXS was falling apart. The song did inspire Tom Cruise to put the script together for City of Angels for his Top Gun co-star Meg Ryan. The movie was inspired by a part of Alan Parson's music video Turn It Up (available on Youtube). I also wrote songs for the band I named Evanescence, and the lead sing of the band uses my name as her stage name.

@djwithjc3 no its not. they played this song at A girl named arianna's funeral a 19 year old friend of mine who comitted suicide because of her sickness- bipolar ate away at her feeling not good enough not pretty enough. you'll always be loved and missed down here arianna June 25 1992-August 26 2011 :( my birthday will now be so hard (my birthday is the 26th)

RIP papa.. Either though I never got to meet you, I love you so very much. I just wish that you had made a wiser decision to not smoke. It took you away from me before I even had the chance to see you. Your daughter, my mom, tells me a lot about you, and I hope that someday we can actually meet. I love you with all of my heart. (:

This song tears me apart. Sunday night I put my best friend to sleep. She layed in my lap and looked me in the eyes while she slowly slipped away. She took her last breathes when I told her I loved her. She was the best dog I ever owned. We adopted her from the Humane Society a few years ago and she's was my companion since. R.I.P. Natasha I'll see you again someday on the other side :'(
