iolite DIY improve vaportization efficiency! :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUoUGkyEXh8

First, I have to announce I take no responsibility if it gets worse or become totally unrepairable. Also if as result of following this video you injured yourself or others, it's your own responsibility. You need to be aware opening and modifying the product will void any warranty by the manufacturer as well. I am not associated with iolite in anyway and if you decide to open it, it's your responsibility, so DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I was enjoying my "herb" with iOlite until one day it stopped igniting. I pressed the ignition about 1000 times and had no luck. I was too lazy to ship it back to the manufacturer, so I decided to open it up. I found on youtube that there are 2 screws underneath the awfully designed sticker.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqmPG1YbrHA. You only need to take one side of the sticker. I have both sides taken off already.. I don't need them, as long as it does its job I don't really care about the stickers. Take apart the plastic case, it's not so easy. I used a knife to open it, stick a knife between two plastic covers and yank it open. Do it carefully so you won't break the plastic parts. Work on it slowly, you need patience. After it's taken apart, just follow my videos. I hope it's explained clearly enough.. If you don't understand, write in the comment below. I will respond when I can. I don't check my youtube messages.

  • I have removed the hex screws and it won't come apart still. Any tips? I can't figure this out.

  • @nevastar85

Put a screw driver or a knife between the plastic cases, slowly pull apart.

  • Great videos. I just have one question. What did you use to take the screws out? I've tried all kinds of screw drivers and hex keys but nothing seems to work.

  • @Spikington2

Mine came out with + screw driver, but I heard of someone who had hex in his.

If you peek into the hole, you should be able to tell.

  • Thanks man worked like a charm. A little patience and its all better.

  • @ShoesCasualT

Yeah, it's a hectic work but once you have it fixed, it works well more reliably.

  • Thanks a lot Dude!! save my Iolite!! Regards fron Brazil!!!

  • i foillowed the steps on this video. however, when i opened the casing, the iolite resumed to working normally. but when the case is back on, the iolite doesn't ignite (no blue spark/flame/ orange flame). anyone having the same issue?

  • @xoxdxbx

  • having the exact issue here. they're jerking me around with email, they dont reply then they do but they ask questions when everything was on the original email. it's a tire them out technique. anyhow, i wanted to ask how come they didn't honor the warranty? i went and bought me a magi launch box and its like drinking beer, it's an acquired taste and technique and it's darn good. i recommend it dude. let me hear back from you on the warranty question, k. take care! tarp
