These debates are the problem because they are designed for 30 sec soundbites and not indepth discussion of the issues. The roundtable style debate suits Fred much better because he actually has the opportunity to go into detail about the issues and can cross-exam the other candidates if he wants to.
I agree that Fred is the best choice...I'm still scratching my head and wondering why he has waited so long before becoming passionate in these debates regarding the truth and what he stands for...I hope Fred knows what he's doing. If this strategy works, he'll be considered nothing short of brilliant.
What happens if Thompson wins in South Carolina? Should he still drop out? You do know that every Republican nominee has won in South Carolina since 18** something. Thompson is the only candidate that can unite the Reagan coalition (economic, military, and social conservative) and unite the country just like Reagan did on strict conservative principles.
What does "beef" mean? Do you mean substance? The reason I support Fred is because he's the only candidate that talks about the issues in great detail. He also is the only candidate who has several detailed proposals on things like immigration, tax reform, rebuilding the military, social security, among others. I would say that no other candidate besides Fred has "beef" in their message.
Why did Dana Bash call Fred Thompson's showing in Iowa "abyssmal"? Not a single pundit I heard said Thompson wouldn't get anything above 5th in Iowa. He came in 3rd despite the fact that a Romney campaign staffer said a day before the caucus that "Thompson was going to drop out and endorse McCain". And ofcourse the media picked up on this and it was all over the news. The media has a terrible bias against Fred!
The only "beef" in Fred Thompson's mouth is going to be Ron Paul's cock when Ron destroys him in SC.
RON PAUL FOR DICTATOR 08!

I think Fred was hoping America wanted something different than a fight but we still like a good fight.
