Xclusivo doing a Equipment Log and this time actually showing some of the Equipment. Rane Mixer, Denon Player, ART Equalizer, BBE Sonic Maximizer, DBX Eq & Crossover, Crest Audio Amplifier, JBL Speakers (MP215) and Yorkville Subwoofers (LS608).
@Renegadeproject Although I no longer use this EQ, for the usagae It was pretty good since it was use only for the basic package setup. Like all brand every company has low price to high price equipment. Art make many products better than DOD, Behringer and other low to mid entry level companies. Some of the Product from Art if it were a Rane, Ashly, BBS or DBX it'd cost 2x to 3x as much! People are stuck with companies that the industries pushes at their direction. Thanx for ya comment.
I have 4 Yamaha C115 main speakers being run with 2 QSC GX5s. The Crest CC-5500 has a 30A plug. Would a CC-4000 be a good choice for 2 Mackie S410s? And do you run yours in stereo or mono? I think your Yorkvilles have about the same power requirements as these Mackies. I want 2 LS808s so bad.
@JLHugginsToo I would get rid of the Mackie and get the Yorkville. The CC4000 is a great Amp and in my opinion it push harder than the QSC PLX. I personally use Two Yorkville LS608 with a Crest CC4000 on stereo mode and it works well. But I wish I had the Crest CC5500 because I would be using the subs at full potential...
How do you have your Yorkville subs wired to that Crest amp? I am looking at a pair of LS808s. I have a Crest Audio CC-5500. I have (4) Mackie S410s subs which are rated at 750 watts at 8 Ohms. I am running two of these subs in stereo at about 1150 watts per side 8 Ohms. I have been told I should only be running subs in mono. How would you suggest I wire 4 subs on this one Crest amp?
@JLHugginsToo It sound like you need an extra amp. One amp should never never push more than two subs. You have the option to run 4 amps on mono for 4 subs or 2 amps on stereo for 4 subs. I wired my Yorkvilles subs through one amp. My tops on another amp....
ART are some good mid priced gear many people are not up on them
