Unfortunately, this clip leaves off the best part, the first Benny Bailey solo, which leaves Mulligan looking on with great fascination and nifty reaction shots, and inspires him to dig deep in his own solo, which is included here. The tune was made up on the stand the night Mingus heard of Lester Young's death.
