a Fantastoc song showing how the Rhodeisians overcame everything the world threw at them (sadly even the Mother country, led by communists)

lyrics

The Whenve Song

Whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, when when we...

When we cross the mighty Pungwe
The gooks were righty angry
When we caught them with their pants down on parade...
When we visited Chimoio
They weren't full of joy-o
'Cause we messed up all the killing plans they made...

When we fley beneath the radar
Wit the guts of Douglas Bader
When we dropped the fireworks at Westlands Farm...
When we popped into Lusaka
And made a quick departure
'Cause we weren't there to visit or to charm...

R:They don't forget their Poppy Day, the Battle of the Boyne
And many worthless anniversary
They don't forget their May Day, V-E and V-J Day
They don't forget so why in the hell should we?

When we crossed the world embargos
And we still got our cargos
Like Boeing 720s and the like...
When we got a note of thanks
For the great big Russian tanks
That we hijacked somewhere in the pale moonlight...

When we made our own munitions
And security inventions
When we sent the kids to school with gun in hand...
When we thought it's just a trifle
For a girl to tote a rifle
'Twas just a daily routine in our land...

R:They don't forget their Poppy Day, the Battle of the Boyne
And many worthless anniversary.
They don't forget their May Day, V-E and V-J Day
They don't forget so why in the hell should we?

When we buried trooper Brading
And did our last parading
When we moved the Troopie statue to the south...
When we joined the other nations
We retain associations
And suggest that any critic shut his mouth...

When we stop just to remember
On The 11th of November...
When we think of fallen comrades on that day...
When we think of all the sad times,
We think of all the glad times
Rhodesians never die - that's what they say!

R:They don't forget their Poppy Day, the Battle of the Boyne
And many worthless anniversary.
They don't forget their May Day, V-E and V-J Day
They don't forget so why in the hell should we?

  • you know i think i was born 30 years too late i have met and talked with many people who went out to Rhodesia and South Africa only to come back with nothing, leaving personal belongings behind as clem Tholet put i "if the world had another Hitler" this was the day when British Honor finally died.i am fiercely proud of being British as well as Scots but i feel that we should have done more to help this wonderful country in its time of need ! it might be too late to change but the memory live on

  • the bottom line should read

it might be too late to change the past but as the 12,000 + views and 55 likes that the memory will never grow old and fade away, not on my watch anyway!

  • Not in the least. I loved most of what we did and have nothing to be embarassed about in that wonderful uniform of a great little nation. Thanks for reminding an old bastard that I was once young and proud. Bless you.

  • @91amp

rhodesia is alive as long as people remember it!

  • The whole thing just breaks my heart. I know the blacks needed to be able to participate, but they just gave the whole country to terrorists and fucked everyone.

  • THE scramble for dispossessed Zimbabwean farmers intensifies in Africa with Somaliland becoming the latest country to offer land to evicted farmers looking for a new start.

  • @53Africa there is a lot ..... only the gullible believe like you!

  • the report adds: "Countries that have contacted us and with whom we are currently dealing include Ghana, Cameroon, Sudan, Guinea Bissau, Benin, Central African Republic and Namibia." The CFU also said a team was currently working on securing a project similar to that in Nigeria in Senegal. "Three trips have been made to Senegal and proposals are being put together. All parties involved are positive about this venture," the farmers' organisation said.

  • Africa scrambles for Zim farmers Augustine Mukaro

MORE than 20 African countries - in a bid to develop their commercial agriculture - are scrambling to snap up Zimbabwe's farmers displaced under the chaotic land reform.

The stampede for Zimbabwean farmers, renowned for their skills, comes at a time when Zimbabwe is in financial dire straits and cannot feed itself because of the failed agrarian experiment that has put an estimated 4,3 million people at risk.

  • THE Central African Republic (CAR) has become the latest African country to offer refuge to Zimbabwean white farmers chased off their land under the government's agrarian reforms.

CAR Prime Minister Martin Ziguele last week said his country was ready to receive Zimbabwean farmers displaced by the chaotic land redistribution programme pursued by President Robert Mugabe since 2000.

  • @Oder1001? U did the wrong information research because white Zim went as asylum seekers 2 Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Nigeria, Malawi, Kenya and the magnificent South Africa without anything. I believe that only a few manage 2 go get help in Nigerian State of Kwara coz their white counterparts were there before 2 see our greatest African Prophet T.B Joshua miracles c.
