  • @abeshektheboss "Yes, today..."

  • What can i substitute the french onion soup with? I dont like the oniony taste. Thanks!

  • @cindy2508 Use any powdered soup you like. Tomato would be good ;)

  • 2 questions :

do I cook the frozen spinach 1st / is it already cooked?

can I substitute the ricotta cheese as I can hardly found one..

    thanks :)

  • @nthnybl No need to cook the frozen spinach first - just defrost it. You can use Philadelphia-style cream cheese instead of the ricotta if you like ;)

  • You are super cute! Thanks for the video. I was looking for some info on frozen spinach and this helped.

  • i make something quite a bit similar but instead i use a fresh pumpernickel loaf, and its always a hit at parties, people love it, and i usually make the dip a day ahead so its nice and smooth, always enjoy your recipes!!

  • @giddymoon This is how we make it in Canada as well (minus the chestnuts and green onions) *wink*

  • You're such a delight to watch! Just so personable and friendly. ^.^

  • I don't know if anyone has given this, but in the USA our version is the Knorr Spinach Dip. Veggie soup mix, not onion, mayo, sour cream, spinach, water chestnuts & green onions. I make it every Thanksgiving for myself! INGREDIENTS

1 pck (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, squeezed dry

    1 (16 oz.) sour cream

    1 cup Mayonnaise

1 pck Knorr® Vegetable recipe mix

1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped

    3 green onions, chopped

  • Great recipe David, BUT, less that a dollar for a packet of frozen spinach!!!!! Geez, the exact same packets of spinach are $2.29 each at my local IGA here in Charlton, Victoria. One of the not so good things about living in a small town almost in the middle of no where.

I suppose I could substitute the Spinach with Silverbeet out of my garden. :)
