and yes it did take a little while after ruth was traded but not 50 years. i believe it was 1946 when they returned to the world series scene. but people forget the 4 that they won in one century (1912, '15, '16, '18). and sure it took them 86 years to get another one, but hey, there is still two more years to tie that 4 in one century.

OK compare apples to apples and get your history straight. Rays took 11 yrs since expansion to LOSE the WS. Sox started in 1901, WON first WS in 1903, so one upped ya there. Plus they're the only team to win more than one in the new century which is 2 more than the DEVIL Rays have won which is more recent, as well as 10+ winning season during the same time frame as the DEVIL Rays, so please go ring your cowbell in the step above the cellar in the East.
