I think the best way to get good at reading is to see a lot of hands. That doesn't mean play a lot of hands, just see them and play the game. The more you play the game itself the more you pick up on peoples tendencies and betting patters that allows you to read them. People talk about the surge in good internet players because internet play allows them to see tons of hands and gain that experience very quickly.
