You couldn't be any more wrong. Barbara Boxer is one of the few elected officials who DO care what her constituency thinks.

Several years ago there was a bill called the Federal Land Use Act. It was an attempt to make it illegal to gather on public lands, including forests, desserts and etc. The reason for this was supposedly to keep ravers from throwing parties and gatherings... However of course a bill like this has much farther reaching effects.

@bobhosta What do you call the opposite of Life? Death? Why is the opposite of Pro Life, Pro Choice when proceeding with the pregnancy is also a "Choice?" Do some research and you will find abortion was legalized in all states by the Supreme Court which involved one woman. This is how Liberals "Skirt" the Constitution. the use a court "precedent" to say see, even the Supremem court said was OK for her. Also, Margaret Sanger started the Planned Parenthood movement. Look her up as well.

@dwellwood "Senator's" have nothing to do with running the state. That's why each one has a governor and a state legislature. They are "Supposed" to go to DC and vote on bills the way the people want them to. Something Queen Barbara doesn't know how to do. Boxer is an elitist leftist that thinks she knows what the people need even if she has to shove it down their throat. At least Fiorina has lived AND worked in the "Real" world. @zeecee1 ....I've never been a big Carly fan...had two brothers who were controllers at HP during her administration who said she was all fluff and no go....if she runs our government like she ran HP, we'll be in even worse shape....but I have to admit, I absolutely can't stand Boxer....guess I'm just going to have to sit this one out or vote for the Green or Lib candidate

@bobhosta She's not pro any of those things, but it's completely meaningless. The governor almost always deals with economic issues, the social issues will go to the voters like Prop 8 in 2008. And the weed issue is on the ballot for the voters this November.
