Fractured could have been much better if Heafy didn't do the vocals. Capharnaum are a death metal band, they're not a metalcore band like Trivium, therefore a death metal vocalist should be on the mic for Capharnaum, and Heafy should have stuck to his little niche. You wouldn't have Rob Halford singing for this band either. It doesn't have to be a debate of skill, but just a matter of what works for a band's sound, and Capharnaum needs death metal vocals.

When this album was recorded, the guitarist/vocalist was 17, and the drummer only 14. fucking awesome

How can you deny that there are a shitload of other bands out there that musically slay the shit out of Trivium just because you haven't heard of them? You keep going off like "You're just hating on them because they're popular," and you're bring up almost nothing that has to do with musicianship. Oh Trivium are so popular, so there's no POSSIBLE way that there's better bands out there, right? Open your damn mind.

I hated Trivium before they were popular too. I checked them out in a CD store when I was living in Japan and thought to myself "Hey these guys are kind of cheesy. Watch them get popular just like a bunch of other cheesy teenagery sounding bands".

dude thats not what im saying at all. i recognize that capharnaum is a greatly talented band; as are alot of other infamous bands. i liked trivium way before they became popular and its just when u come dissin on em just for the fact that theyre popular and capharnaum isnt is when i get pissed. obviously the music biz is based mostly on luck and hardly any on actual talent (look at almst ever pop star in the biz today) but that dont mean that some of the onz who made it made it basd on just that
