Song 1 from the album "Colours", released in 1981 by Resurrection Band (or Rez). The full album can be bought on Grrrecords.com :)

I said, "Sign here please," and you inscribed your name in my heart
Didn't know what I was getting into, what was getting into me for that matter
A little slow to understand, love was the word I was after
So your name kept coming to my lips, again and again

Now I understand, he wanted the heart of the world
You're his signature, the very stamp of his soul
Spirit in the wind, agony of the cross all told
Signed in blood

Forgery, it happens all the time
Your truth ain't even on their minds
though it's written down in black and white, blood red
Jesus is up from the dead
and I know that he's coming again

Your autograph, touching the heart of my world
your signature in me, the mark of your soul
Spirit in my heart, crosses of love my goal
I want to be clear and bold, your autograph

  • I like the way this song transitions from a guitar solo without words to a rocking song with Wendi on vocals. It's like having TWO songs in ONE. OOoooooooh YEAH............. :)

  • One of the greatest bands on this planet glad they chose to give there gifts back to JESUS and play on this side

  • Got to work security at their show in the late 80's in New Westminster, B.C. and had dinner with them and Leviticus afterward.

  • I`ve been looking for this! Praise God, I Found It!

  • Amp............not ..............loud enough

  • Resurrection Band was the first Christian hard rock band I ever heard of and it was them who convinced me once and for all that God could use this kind of music for His glory. Before, church friends made me think the music had to either traditional, or sound like disco or Barry Manilow to be acceptable. Well, this group came a long way from Barry Manilow. They got started before he did.

  • Wish I still had my old memorabilia. They are great, was mid and late 80's forme inlocal churches but the rocked the heck out of the place.

  • I got the pleasure of seeing this talented band back in the late 70's early 80's turned me on to CC music.... Awesome Musicans!!

  • playing for jesus is the best choice

  • Stu Heiss is one of my favorite guitarists. The guy is great. I did not know how good Glenn was on lead until I heard his solo work with the Glenn Kaiser Band. If you love anointed blues rock, just start with "Blacktop" and work from their!

  • Death of the Dying, from Awaiting Your Reply

  • Definitely one of the best guitar licks in Christian music...not considering Phil Keaggy of course. Rez Band is awesome. Thanks for posting their music. :-)

  • JaminRebel, You hit the nail on the head! This band was always progressive and at the forefront of CC Music. And without compromise!

  • This is my favorite disc by this great band! Thanks for posting this great music.

  • Wow, what a transition the Colours lp was. Did the band turn new wave or what. I don't think I have ever given this lp the respect it really deserved. Thanks for posting and respecting these songs.
