Piano Keyboard only cover version of this 1970 Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel song.

When you're weary
Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all

I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Sail on Silver Girl,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way

See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

  • paul, closest to the original ever. I learned it from sheet music 40 years ago, but it wasn't anything like so comprehensive as here, and I haven't played it for decades.

Just as it finished, I suddenly thought of "Still Crazy After All These Years" which has a strong piano accompaniment...

  • @hhelpmaboab I did originally learn this from sheet too when I was a youngster. Still Crazy - good suggestion, I'll check it out. Thanks.

  • Hey Paul - Come up with your version of Boz Skaggs' "We're All Alone!" That's a perfectly haunting melody, in a sense it reminds me of the ghostly "Killing Me Softly."

  • @Domreiter28 Excellent suggestion. I wouldn't call it haunting though, it sounds strong, encouraging, positive and uplifting.

  • thats a great version. i learned from on line pianist and it's definately not the same. yours sounds alot closer to the original.why do you have the a flat wedged closed?

  • @johnny36120081 There was something wrong with it at the time and it played at full loudness

    Beautiful piece, beautifully played...

  • Paul...sorry to hear about the loss of your father. He would have been so proud to tell you how beautiful you played at the funeral if he could. Although he couldn't say the words, he heard you in heaven......
