use the tachocontroller and controll the gear display, rpm override leds, 2 frequency (1-300Hz )controlled meters ( rpm and speed) and 2 pwm controlled meter ( tank and temp).
Data comes over serial port (e.g. s200r6500t90g25m5e = 200km/h 6500min-1 90grad 25 liters 6gear).

First off all sorry from my English I´m from portugal

I´m doing one worck in my school and i need to do something like you done to your Tachocontroller, can you help me?

Can you show me how you done the program etc... my dificulty is know to conect the Tachocontroller to the pc.

hello

for the speed and rpm gauge you need a frequency signal from 0..300hz.

so you have to program a frequency loop or timer. search in the web for this for you microprozessor and programming language you whant to use.

for the temp and gasoline meters you need a resistor from 20..250ohm to ground.

there are a lot of ways to do this.

you can programm a pwm signal and then a outputstage to simulate the resistor or you use a R2R resistor array.
