The Roundabout Theatre Company has presented many of Stephen Sondheim's acclaimed musicals, from Company to Assassins, so it's no surprise that they're now presenting the first Broadway revival of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Sunday in the Park With George, beginning previews at Studio 54 on January 25. The production, which originated at London's Menier Chocolate Factory, before transferring to the West End, is directed by Sam Buntrock. Earlier this month, TheaterMania's David Finkle went to the Museum of Modern Art, which hosted a show of the drawings of Georges Seurat -- the artist who inspired the musical -- to talk to stars Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell, who have come over from England for the first time, and their new American co-stars Michael Cumpsty, Jessica Molaskey, Alexander Gemignani, and Mary Beth Peil about this exciting show!
I love this!
