Great job! You made me go back and listen to Donny Hathaway Live pt2. for the first time in years. BTW- Willie Weeks was named by Louis Johnson as a major influence. (not the slappin' of course)

Thanks- do you alternate for each note or go imm? or other?

@mharclerode ...My hero when I was a teen was Billy Cox who played with 2 fingers. He would double all those 16th note phrases with Hendrix on Band Of Gypsys.
I spent a lot of time doing scales or riffs always alternating. I would play the scales or riffs beginning with the index and then switch to the middle finger.
Now I just do what comes naturally. I'm not super aware if I am alternating or not.

Awesome-!!! are you using all three fingers to pick the fast triplets??(or what is your fingering for picking hand on that part?) I have been working on those for awhile and can't seem to to get a fast enough approach (and clean enough)

@mharclerode I just use two fingers. Thanks for the comments.

I new James Jamerson's Jr wife Crystal when we worked at SONB in Glendale.
We ditched work one day to hang out at the studio back in the 80's
