My dog MAX an ENGLISH MASTIFF OCT 2009 - MAX DIED ON MONDAY DECEMBER 7TH 2009

Besides my Wife ANA who i love very much and is the love of my life, There is MAX, the best dog i ever had in my whole life. MAX meant everything to me, we did everythng together. MAX sadly died on December 7th 2009. I had Max for almost 4 years, he was 8 and a half years old. He died in my bed sleeping with me as he always did with me and ANA. Max had been sick that nite a little bit, throwing up, but nothing to make us think it was very serious. It was 9 or 10 pm when Max started being sick, we were going to take him to the Vet in the morning . The weird part was, max drank alot of water, and seemed not to be peeing at all when i took him for a walk around 10:30 pm as he normally did, but i just thought he didn't have to go then. Then i took him out again an hour later, same thing.. The point here, is if any of you ever experience any problems, DONT WAIT, take your dog right away to a VET, i didnt know, but i know now (i learned the hard way). Like i said My baby Max was everything to me, and im Devistated by the loss of him, and think about him everyday, my wife is very sad is well. I think Max had something wrong with his Kidneys's and may have had whats called "renal failure" and may have had Cancer as well. He was too young, although typically English Mastiffs only live to be normally 12-14 years Tops.. Max Uncle Brian, and Auntie ana, Love you and Miss you. We shall see you again baby. Anyone who is reading this, and wishes to leave any comments you may do so regarding your DOG, Healthy or Sick, but if you have anythng bad to say, your posting will be removed, so please be kind. If you have had similar things happen to your dog, please post to help others that may not know warning signs. The best defense, is a good offense, always get medical care for your animal, as animals cannot speak to you and tell you whats wrong, so you have to be there voice.. please help your animals - Thank you, and GODBLESS YOU! --MAX - 2001 to 2009. Its hard to believe thats its been over a year and a half since my dog MAX passed away. Max, daddy loves you, and you will always have a place in my heart forever, and ever. There isnt one day that goes by, that i dont think of you. My baby Max. I love you! Today is April 4th -2011. Just thought i would say hi again, my old friend. UNCLE BRIAN LOVES YOU!

I'm so sorry. I had to put my Mastiff, House, down a year ago and I still cry when I think of him. I've had other dogs pass, but there's just something about Mastiffs that capture your heart like no other. Goodluck with the grief. It sucks....I even got another Mastiff and it helped, but I can tell that House's "spot in my heart" hasn't budged. My new Mastiff has kind of taken 2nd seat, so be sure you wait a while before you get another.

Thank you so much for your advice, and your right, my MAX is definatley unreplaceable, he has such a special place in my heart.. Its real tuff...I might get another dog in the future, but not anytime soon.. My Max was one of a kind..alsmost human. Godbless you, sorry for your loss as well.

@illinoissux1 I wanted to thank you for your post, i cant believe its been over a year now since MAX has passed, and it hasn't got easier for me. I continue to think about him alot. Like i said he was my life. But life does go on. I think maybe this year i might buy another dog, but i dont think it will be a mastiff, because MAX was one of a KIND, he was like SCOOBY DOO in way...He was so kind and gentle. We also have mastiff named tank a fawn like max he is 7. I know how very very much you loved max as we do tank. May god bless you I know you are hurting as we will one day to my poor husband will be soso lost without tank. I pray that you can remember the good things max brought to your lifes thank you so much for sharing your wonderful max with us. It makes me cry at your loss I'm sorry bless you

You big jerk, youve got an ex marine crying his eyes out hugging the crap out of my two mastiffs :) I'm so sorry, I has a two year old mastiff die suddenly when I was about 16, I'm 33 now and STILL cry every once in a while for my little girl. I have not cried at any funeral for any of my family members, but I bawl over that little dog...

Mastiffs are the greatest dogs in the world. My English Mastiff is the sweetest thing and means everything to me. She's only 2, but so often I think about a day when I'll have to be without her and it hurts just thinking of it. Sorry for your loss!
