  • @DaKilla27 No. That's ridiculous. It wasn't obvious to him why it was offensive, so I explained it to him. No matter how offensive something is, it won't be obvious to everyone. If what you said were true, then nothing would ever be offensive.

  • @benmcdaniel If you have to explain why something is offensive, it obviously isn't very offensive.

  • @ChrisisBass13 Think of what the lyrics are saying. You see a young woman you've never met before, and in one moment you feel it's your place to judge who this stranger is and how she should live her life.

It isn't completely clear what is going on, but the implication is that she must be looking for a one-night stand or perhaps a john. So not only is it saying that women can't choose for themselves what kind of sex life to have, but that a woman has no business being outside alone at midnight.

  • @benmcdaniel how is it offensive? I dont get it.

  • That tag is musically beautiful, but the lyrics to that song are extremely offensive. We barbershoppers need to leap into the 21st century quit being such pigs. At the very least, we should keep our misogyny under wraps when on stage.

  • WOW that was good all together at the end.

  • Not sure who Rose is, but she sure inspired some incredible singing:)

  • Thanks James, another great tag by the best Barbershop Teacher ever!!!!

    Don M

  • Love your tags!! I need more though. I teach tags to our chorus and I love yours because they are fairly simple yet beautiful. Keep em coming!!

  • I love each one of these - a little song history, teach each part & a great voice...
