Jane Froman's warm, expressive, contralto voice lends itself perfectly to the song "Goin' Home." November 10, 2007, would have been MS Froman's 100th birthday. Read more about Jane Froman's courage, career, and centennial celebration at janefroman.com

  • Thanks for uploading this video. Truly beautiful. The best version available.

  • Most beautiful presentation of "Goin' Home" I have ever seen and heard. Beautiful lady, beautiful voice.

  • This lady had a lovely voice. I fear that she too was underrated in her own time.

there's great quality if not quantity in that voice.

  • The comments of "fruitofspirit" reminded me of "With A Song in My Heart," the life story of Jane Froman; yes, I agree she could make just about any music she did sound wonderful! I have always loved the song, "Goin' Home!" Thank you for presenting Jane to us. Liz

  • It is always a pleasure to see and listen to Jane

  • Even as a long-time admirer of Jane Froman, and lover of her music, I find this to be truly incomparable, unforgettable!(after viewing and listening many, many times!)

  • This is the Best version of this song i have Ever heard ANYone sing

  • Three rare beauties on this video--the song, the voice, and the angelic lady who sings it.

  • @howiekim25 It got digitalized, uploaded and "improved".

  • The actress who sang "Goin' Home" in "The Snake Pit," was Jan Clayton, who was Julie Jordan in "Carousel" and later became famous as the mother of Lassie's owner in the T.V. series. Jan also starred as Magnolia in the London revival of "Show Boat" and Oscar Hammerstein Jr. wrote for her a new song, "Lucky To Be Me."
