Logo Animation

As soon as I saw this giraffe on istockphoto I had to animate it. Apart from the giraffe I developed this concept from scratch. I have a son who will be 2 years old this nov 09. Early on the phrase of shtaku shtiku was just a fun thing in our house to say. I am not sure if I was the one to come up with it or him? :) I think business names have a lot more power if they have very few syllables so I just took the ending and ran with it.

Geek stuff: In adobe after effects I used the puppet tool to animate the giraffe. It was a lot more difficult than I anticipated. I had the text come in before the giraffe entered so that they wouldnt compete for attention. I parented the shadow with an expression to the giraffe so it would only follow along the x axis. Lastly, I used the puppet tool to stretch the text to draw attention to the ears that pop out of the s. Fun.
