DX HE SAID NOM NOM NOM NOM!!

Savannah is from serval family. The lynx breeds are aggressive eaters. NEVER put a hand on them when eating. They will develope a habit of taking food and hiding. Also the best rule to remember is to never put a finger between food and their mouth. They may mistake your finger or toe for a chicken leg. I raise servals, I know and hissing is serval speak. If their ears go back and the midline hair stands up...look out!

@lemans455 Some domestic cats do this as well, particulalrly when you treat them with meat.

snake hiss go!
-
My old Brown Burmese used to growl exactly like that when tackling a pork chop. That was about the only noise he did make though.
-
@NINJAkittehy You shouldn't be feeding your Savannah cat food at all, you will mess up their digestion and it can cause the runs. You need to be feeding it raw meat preferably.
-
@mslegacy01 wtf, are you an idiot? Savannah cats are not blood thirsty wild animals, they are mixed with domesticated house cats.
FYI, animals don't know how to light camp fires to cook their meat...yes even your happy-go-lucky dog is supposed to be eating raw uncooked meat.
Seriously people need to read or use google before they start spouting bullshit.

@mslegacy01 lmao!!!! this is hilarious!

you should ban me. I love eating rare steak and occasionally it has a bit of blood. watch out. I might eat u too one day.
-
@mslegacy01 You're right! We should ban all dogs and cats! They love RAW, UNCOOKED MEAT too. I bet they're super-de-duper dangerous, just like savannah cats...

WHY in the hell would anyone want to have this wild beast around as a personal pet is beyond me. Damn, why can't folks leave wild things where they belong...out in nature doing what they should be doing. Not locked up in some house or apt for your personal visual enjoyment. Anything that eats RAW, UNCOOKED MEAT and tastes the BLOOD is a very dangerous animal. I pray for any friend or family member who happens to get jumped on and bitten severly by one of these things!

Why is it making those noises while eating?

@pinksharpiexxx The chewing noises or the hissing? I'm assuming the hissing is what you are asking about. That is to protect his food. He is 53% wild animal so that is his natural instinct.
