The issue with Burton's argument here is not about Clinton, though I would disagree with what he said; the issue is with the "time of war", as if it was an argument to stop debate about government corruption in Iraq. It is precisely in times of war that the citizenry must remain on high alert against profiteering, corruption and such.
In Iraq, for example--corruption will be highly injurious to American efforts, especially when you add that to the lack of basic necessities for many there.
