Umm, you should get your facts straight before you post a comment like that. The Salton Sea was not made with sea water. It was river water. Also, the salt level did not start very high. It grows higher every year from farm run-off and natural sodium deposits at the sea floor. It was accidentally formed, though - so you're sort of correct.

let's get the fact straight. The Salton Sea was artifically created with sea water by an accident. It is not a natural sea, it was man made. The salt level started very high. Don't blame in on pollution, the entire lake was a disaster from the start.
