You're not gonna catch him next year if you touch him with a rag--dry or wet--because it removes the protective slime coat over their scales. Removing this makes fish susceptible to bacteria and diseases. Minimal touching with wet hands or simply a boga grip (or similar device) is probably your best bet.

Mr Scott....a friend of mine and fellow musician ...jams with my folks Bob and Fran Newman ...have some great footage of jam night at a few places through out the years...hope to see him again this year...but Dude, even I've caught bigger fish in the keys lmao....
