@twain103 I could well believe that!
-
@heathblanch I wonder IF Christina Crawford LOVED the make -believe torture Jane inflicted on her REAL mother,Joan Crawford?

This movie generated such drama and camppy scenes.Even Mommie Dearest
had many cammpy scenes that gave the film a global appeal even to gay audiences.
Bette Davis was the center stone in this movie` and strong willed brutal sister with
a sadistic intent. Wonderful

Love Jane's shoes in this scene!!!!
-
I think the fact that these two loathed each other in real life comes through in the acting and makes it better!
-
Bette Davis may have been a bitch but personally...i really don't give a damn XD A talent like her only comes around once in a lifetime and she is truly amazing

Bette's daughter (who had a part in the movie and was her mother's assistant) was told by Joan on the set--in no uncertain terms-- "Stay away from my daughters [the "twins"]--I don't want them around people like you." Bette was furious--understandibly so--when she found this out. Yes, Bette was a bitch--but she was upfront about it. But Joan was the one you had to watch out for--she was very conniving. Both, personalities aside, were great actresses. We won't see their likes again..
