Gaza War victims believe Israel will trump UN probe

A new UN resolution gives Israel and the Palestinians five more months to investigate the three-week Gaza war, which started at the end of 2008. A report last year found both sides guilty of war crimes. Israel calls it biased and flawed. And the Palestinians say even if the probe confirms that war crimes were committed, Israel will never be held responsible.

No government would sit by while its citizens have rockets rained down upon their heads no matter how crude or ineffective in design. As for the UN they should have stopped HAMAS launching rockets but instead they let them do it from their own buildings.

@ITHEREONETHATHASNT What do you call a measured response?? Should have the IDF put nails and ball bearings in crude rockets and fired them back at Gaza aiming at the general population. That would be measured as HAMAS did. For 8 years they fired rockets at Israel and no one said shit, then Israel decided to make it stop by destroying the missile launching capacity of HAMAS. That is a measured response. Funily enough all those commentators and diplomats that never said a word against HAMAS

UN chief auditor issued strong condemnation of Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, according to Washington Post.

Inga-Britt Ahlenius, (UN Internal Oversight Services chief), wrote that Ban prevented efforts to root out corruption & hiring staff. 'Your actions are not only deplorable, but seriously reprehensible. ... Your action is without precedent & seriously embarrassing for yourself,' Ahlenius said. 'I regret to say that the UN is in a process of decay.'
