It's wonderful and brave of you to post this. I can relate to you so much better than other depictions of bipolar I've seen. You're doing so well, but I'm afraid for you. Aren't you? Is there any chance that you won't become depressed again? Do you know what the long-term outcomes are for bipolar? I'm going to cross my fingers and pray for us.

love you! strong, beautiful girl. :)

From my own personal experience marijuana has had very bad reactions, usually pushing my bipolar disorder to the verge of schizophrenia. I haven't touched it in 5 years and never will. But if it works for you, go for it.

@Awanixak- I'm sorry I took your content as sarcasm. Normally Sativas (wake up/to maintain): Jack Herer, Double Strawberry Diesel, most Skunk breeds. The DsD helped me breathe, gave me a good cleanse of racing/intrusive thoughts. Lambs Breath was helpful too. Indicas for nightime or de-escalating mania: Master Kush was the best sedative like for me. Trial and Error is very important! Don't lose hope if a strain has ill effects like paranoia or stuffiness. Hybrids can be tricky also

@Awanixak- I never said I was an expert, but honestly, you'd trust what scientists who have never tried the herb on themselves for a disorder you have to tell you what it is capable of? Experience is knowledge. I'm just sharing mine.

Depending on the strain, thc content, etc there are different effects that may happen. It's all personal, like i said it isn't for everyone. It's an experiment, and after years of psych pills destroying my organs i tried it, and it helps. Strong indica's may provide a "couch-lock" sativa's are more active. Appetite stimulation. While certain strains alleviate nausea while others work better for pain.

It's very unfortunate that it did not work for you, but I am done with psychiatric pills. Did you not listen to my views? I will never take Valium. Sativa's are perfect for me, and Indica's help me sleep. I do not cycle as much. It has never made my head race, and I have never gotten paranoid. I feel like a normal person! Psychiatrists prescribed me adderall and strattera and I was manic beyond belief, crashing in tears every night. That is a stimulant. I know my body and my mind. (:
