This piece is my favourite from the sixth Asia-Pacific Triennial, now showing in Brisbane.

Video really doesn't convey just how awe-inspiring this sculpture is.

It's a taxidermied full-sized adult male Elk, which has been covered in glass, with different sized glass spheres attached. Some of the spheres have a magnifying effect, allowing the viewer to see the many different textures on the animal in various degrees of magnification. Its placement on a small plinth in the centre of a hyper-bright white room gives it an almost sacred presence, and takes my breath away.

Amazing!

Art: "PixCellElk#2" by Kohei Nawa

Music: "Didjital Vibrations" by Jamiroquai, off "Travelling Without Moving", released in 1996.
