Western Illinois University freshman Matthew Lawson is a meteorology major. He suffers from Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (also referred to as Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy), a visual impairment that diminishes his ability to see distances, fine print, as well as his depth perception. Matthew recently joined the Web Accessibility Committee as a student representative, and in this video, he shares why it's important for him to have access to accessible documents that can be read with Jaws screen-reading software.
