Afghan man sentenced to death for reading about women's rights

Sharia courts in Afghanistan have sentenced Sayed Pervez Kambakhsh to death for reading an article on woman's rights.

In this video, members of the Council of Ex-Muslims and others are protesting the Afghan government and are demanding that Kambakhsh be released.

@terminsane I dont believe the audience cheered on the subject of ppl starving,You are probably leaving something out(what was the debate about?) .Who gives money to starving Afrikan children? As for the death penalty in US is allowed In SAUDI Arabia also.Actually in all countries where islam is strong.And why wouldnt it be since according to Islam is OK.? According to Christianity is not. In all European countries there is no death penalty.

I still don't get why Islam is still tolerated in the world. Just look at all the bad it has done. Honour killings, stoning women to death for things that shouldn't even be a crime, uproars and murders over simple cartoons, and the list goes on. Islam isn't a peaceful religion at all. Heck, even a guy that won a PRIZE for advocating peaceful islam beheaded his wife in America. And then bragged about it to the police! And he was a PEACEFUL muslim.

I would say that you're very naive about religions- particularly the Abrahamic religions. Read the koran and the bible, and you will find verses full of nothing but hate for non-believers, this I do not find good. We see hate towards Christians/Muslims as bad, yet it's acceptable for scripture to hate on non-believers? I think there's some double standard going on here. If you want to look for a good religion- Abrahamic ones are not it.
