The Iron Chef World Cup was a cooking tournament where 4 chefs from around the world competed against each other to determine the #1 chef in the world. In 1995, Rokusaburo Michiba defeated Gianfranco Vissani and then in 1997, the final between Komei Nakamura and Alain Passard ended in a 105-105 tie after a 3-3 split by 6 judges.

@kappelmeister123 on the contrary you should have been even more sporting when you're in front of that many people. speaks of your character and upbringing

who thinks the italian handled himself well? His dishes looked good and tasty...someone said it was "classless" not to make eye-contact when shaking hands..hell, you know you all would be bad sports too if you lost with that many people watching...

There was a World Cup '97, featuring then-Iron Chef Japanese Komei Nakamura. He made it to the final against Alain Passard, and tied.
