The best back exercise in general as far a muscle mass and strength is concerned. Strength training for pull ups. Freestylin on the pull-bar.
If you go out side and hit the bars. Muscle up is the skill have. Call it street workout, street gymnastics or bar training. The point is all the same.
In my work, I teach 4 different types of basic bar muscle ups.
Type 1,2,4 require the pull up training show in the video above.
A manual and DVD coming soon!

  • Rocking the Tom Kurz Stadion coolshades, but where is your combat umbrella Paul? I like this rant about elbows forward instead of out, something I've forgotten to focus on. Though we should prob. not do it too much or else we use too much wrist/elbow flexor and not enough shoulder extensor.

Does strength in lateral shoulder rotators assist rear delts to help counteract the inward rotation pull of the lats/teres major/lower pectoralis major muscles?

  • Rocking the Tom Kurz Stadion coolshades I see Paul. But where is your combat umbrella? I am enjoying this rant on the rotation and elbow splay, something I haven't been concious of during pull ups, so will try to focus more on this. Seems we should have elbows come forward instead of out? Though not too much since the more forward, seems like more wrist/elbow flexor and less shoulder extensor.

Do lateral rotators counteract the inward rotation of lats+ters major++lower pect. major as extensors?

  • OK, I am fully impressed !
