  • As much as I love this song and the video (perfectly synched, I might add), there is one slight problem with it. At 1:42, when it's showing Mal's rap sheet, it lists him as "Captain, Independent Army, 57th Brigade", when he only was a Sergeant. He assumed the rank of Captain after the war when he bought Serenity. Hate to nitpick and burst the bubble; just wanting to set straight the facts.

  • @Psychonaut316 Well nitpick with Joss Whedon then cos they're all clips from the show so they got it wrong. Either that or its showing his current rap sheet as they know it now when he *is* a Captain and that just refers to his past regiment.

  • I'll obey your every command, Capn Tightpants.

P.S. What a fantastic video. Please don't mind... if it's ok, if I put it on my vlog.

  • Yeah go ahead and use it in your blog, thats great!

That's my motto. Or would be, if I started having a motto.

  • I absolutely love this musical, and Firefly's one of my favorite shows. It does fit very well with Mal's character.

  • @Psychonaut316 This is only POSSIBLY wrong, if you go buy a DVD collection and watch the pilot episode's alternate opening(or one of the other deleted scenes, i forget), you learn about how so many Commanders died at Serenity Valley that he was in command more than 2000 men for a few days, which would toss him at a rank of AT LEAST Captain, regardless of universe haha.

  • @Vampbarbie13

In the deleted scene from the pilot episode,

Zoe said that Malcom was in charge of up to 2,000 men during the battle and there was a shortage of officers as well as men.

Perhaps it was a field promotion.

By the time they were finally all evac'd,

there was only about 130 something left.

She was the only surviving member of his squad.

    Also,

BOTH sides were left dying while peace was being arbitrated.

    Browncoats are best without bureaucracy.

  • This song is perfect for Mal, and the video is perfect for the song.

  • Two of my fav guys- Capn Tightpants and Trace Adkins... This made my day! Thanks for sharing!
