  • that is the background of f-zero 2 (f-zero gpl)

  • DOS music!!!

  • @kibjohn or dos quality

  • fav song in f-zero :D

  • This game reminds me of F-Zero.

  • @kibjohn Oh, thanks for correcting me! (I got GXSCC once and absolutely HATED it.)

  • Not really 8-bit what the heck it sounds great !

  • @WeegeePerson Actually, the NES has 5 sound channels. Not 3.

    2 pulsewave

    1 triangle

    1 noise

    1 DPCM

It is worth mentioning that the song was actually converted using GXSCC which was used for emulating the Japanese MSX soundboard. GXSCC =/= 8 bit. If it was 8-bit, then it would obviously be built using Zilog (Z80), Ricoh (2A03), or C64 SID chip emulation. Hell, even FM synthesis can do 8-bit

  • @kibjohn Actually, the number of channels doesn't matter. A song can be 8-bit and have 60 channels, it just depends on the RAM of the device playing the song, but people are used to the NES and it's 3 channels. So you see? Any song could be 8-bit!

  • yeah...
